Dr. Nicholas Blavatsky grew up in Havre where he excelled in sports and academics. Following graduation from Havre High School, he was accepted to the Air Force Academy where he played defensive end for the Falcon football team. When the Academy dropped their pre-med program in 1975, Dr. Blavatsky transferred to Carroll College in Helena graduating in 1977 with a degree in biology. He completed medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno in 1981. He completed an internship in general surgery from Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada and a residency in orthopedic surgery from Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Blavatsky is Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.Prior to joining Montana Orthopedics Dr. Blavatsky practiced in Central Florida for 15 years where he helped Winter Haven Hospital achieve its designation as a top 100 hospital for joint replacement in 1998. Dr. Blavastky’s clinic interests include general orthopedics and major joint replacement.
